Good evening!

I would like some advice especially as I couldn’t see much relevant information on a google search.

I currently have two girls and would like to get one or two more but we don’t want to rescue some and find out we are not being fair.

We currently have a 120cmx120cm cage (followed RSPCA minimum size requirements), therefore I find it difficult to gauge if this is enough as this is square rather than rectangle. Every evening and weekend they are given floor time where they get a minimum of double this space.

Unfortunately we cannot extend the cage longer than 120cm each way due to us then having no space for our tv unit, sofa or dining table!

Can someone please advise whether this size is suitable for more than two piggies? Thanks muchly!

So a 120cm x 60cm (4ft x 2ft, 8 square feet) is the minimum rspca requirement for two piggies. So if your cage is 120cm x 120cm then you are above minimum rspca recommendations on floor space (4ft x 4ft, 16 sq ft) so are offering them a really good amount of space for two.
For three piggies we would recommend the equivalent of a 5x2 c&c which would measure approx 6ft x just over 2ft (so just over 12 sq ft).
For four piggies, if would be a 6x2 c&c, so 7ft x just over 2ft.
So in theory you do have space for more piggies in your cage.
