Hi all, first post here.

We decided to go ahead with an indoor cage as we feel they will get more attention etc and will be easier to clean being kept indoors.

I have done a lot of reading and think we've decided to go down the fleece/newspaper route.

Is it simply a case of lining either newspaper or puppy pads and putting a couple of fleeces on top? Obviously well provide plenty of hay to nest in and eat, as well as plenty of toys/hides etc.

Our plaza 140 cage arrived today and we are waiting on a call from our local rescue as we've made enquiries aboutique a couple of different pairs they have.

We want to get everything set up and ready this weekend if possible.

Thank you.

We use puppy pads then a fleece liner and give it a good shake every couple of days. On top of that goes more fleecy things like cluddlies and tunnels. Today is clean out day and it appears our boys had a party last night :lol!: Have a look at the Housing and Enrichment section for examples on how other people have there setups for ideas. We welcome plenty of pigtures of course, never have too many pigtures of piggies  x

Hello and a very warm welcome to the forum. I use fleece on top of puppy pads to absorb the wee. The fleece needs to be washed several times on a hot wash with washing powder (but no conditioner/fabric softener) to get it to wick. I use a dustpan and brush to sweep up poop and hay each day. Then I change the fleece every 3 - 4 days and throw away the puppy pads.
