Cage Liners

I'm going to attempt to make my own cage liners for the girls hutch. I've been looking at different mattress toppers/protectors and there's so many I don't know which one to get! Anyone who's successfully made a cage liner, your advice would be fab!

Which one would be better? The first one is cotton,which I've heard it better, the second polyester, though the second is waterproof as well?

You definatly want the first one, the 100% cotton one, as the other one will just let the water sit on top, and they will paddle around in it! Where as the second will take the water down away from the fleece and let it dry out

Great, thank you very much! And also, how much can you get out of a king sized mattress? Enough to make two sets of 4ft x 2ft cageliners for a double decker hutch?

Probably not. I usually buy a double, and i can only get max 3 lots of 2x 4 out of that. For that reason i would say your better off buying two doubles, or alternativly measure up because you MAY be able to do it with a king sized and a single using a couple of pieces of a matress protector sewn together.

Unfortunaltly i havnt measured up for a cage liner for a while, so i cant be of more help Definatly dont go on my word though, measure up. Usually they give you the measurements in Cms.

I'm more excited than I probably should be I can get cracking later this week after I've been shopping to get the mattress topper, so I'll update then and let you all know how it went!
