Cage Liners

Hello,
I'm going to be make my own cage liners and I'm going to use a mattress protector in between the fleece. Do you have to use a 100% cotton mattress topper and will it make a big difference if you don't ?

I believe it has to cotton for the wicking away of urine. Here is a thread on how to make one How to make a cage liner (with pic's)

Thanks for the thread on how to make a cage liner it's really helpful .
Jax and Buddy are little angels well most of the time...
I've made them quite a few things but never a cage liner, so hopefully it will turn out okay and I'll definitely let use know how I get on

I've heard of some using the mattress protectors, not toppers, also terry towels, zorb and so on, like Lee said (Sport Billy).
