I've been using fleece & towels for years now and love it compared to other beddings but I'm wondering if liners would be easier for washing/drying. I have a 6x2 cage that I'm thinking of changing to liners as the girls make such a mess of their fleece, they like to burrow, dig and pull it in all sorts of directions so there's always poo in the creases!
Would I be better with 2 liners as apposed to one big one, do they dry OK without a tumble dryer and can anyone recommend a seller at decent price?
Thanks x

mine never go in the tumble dryer... they come out the washing machine fairly dry and they go overnight on the radiator or outside.. i use a combo of a big one and smaller ones on top..

Apologies if you don't mean this, I'm new!

If you mean liner as in fleece with included absorbing layer underneath rather than your separate towels, that's what I'm planning to make myself next week using a tutorial from here:
How To Make A Cage Liner (with Pics)

Seems super easy to do using fleece and a cotton mattress topper, so if this is what you're looking for and you have a sewing machine, will perhaps be cheaper to buy a cotton mattress topper and adapt your existing fleece?

If so, these mattress toppers are suitable:

Yes its a fleecey one I want, but I'm ashamed to admit I can't even sew a button let alone attempt something so big! I'm sure there's people on here that make these but I cant remember who.

Haha I didn't say mine would be a good job! I made the curtains in my flat, that was my biggest sewing project to date and it took DAYS (only 3 sets so shouldn't have!) My sewing machine was my Nan's and is operated by a turning handle rather than an electric foot pedal, so it's a slow process...
If they are acceptable looking when I'm done, I'll post some pics. Worth also adding that I'm not making liners with sides, just flat ones!

I've just messaged her for a quote, so much choice. I NEED everything she sells in all colours.! My poor bank account :lol!:

Ziggys piggies are the best for cost and she does a really good job and they are delivered quickly. Ive had many quotes from others and this is by far the best. Reasonable able p&p charges. Although she doesn't have many designs to choose from which is a shame, compared to others. But I guess the really fancy fleece liners cost more to buy making it more costly for us to buy.

I'm ordering the trio of cosies today. They're great value. I will make my own one day... just need to dust off the sewing machine. :)
