Cage Layout And Boredom Breakers

how often does everyone change and update their cage layout?

I try and swap mine about once a month and swap in different hidey huts etc but I still worry about my pigs being bored! What boredom breakers do you use?

Hi , l give mine plenty of floor time, but l never thought of changing cage layout to break bordom

Cardboard boxes with holes cut in the sides, large paper bags stuffed with hay, sometimes the simpler home-made things are appreciated the most! Even a small blanket that can be burrowed under can be fun.

I change mine every time I clean them out, so every 1-2 days :-)

I change mine around at least once a day, my piggies get so cross with me and shove things back where they want them. I am one of those people who likes everything tidy around the edge, the piggies like their stuff lined up through the middle. Spike has a particular spot under the ramp he likes to lie so I put a toilet roll tube there, he picks it up in his mouth and flings it as hard as he can. I'm sure my boars think I'm the thickest human out putting stuff in the wrong place all the time!

I change the layout at the least once day when I do their daily clean out. They also have hay rollers, rattle rollers and loads of other natural chews, tunnels and hideys to keep them entertained
