Cage - Is It Ok?

I hope to get two sows soon? Have got everything ready now except hay obviously. Despite spending loads on the pig igloos I am thinking of using a step stool instead on the left corner that way there is two exits and they can still run around.
Do you think this is ok? I have lots of different tunnels and a larger stick tunnel to go in the 1m x 1m indoor run and have an outdoor run too.
Can't wait to get some rescue piggies now.

Forgot to say. The big bowl is for veg and won't be in all the time. They will be on puppy pads and Aubiose.
 
Lovely cage and setup. Stools are excellent as they offer multiple exits and are easy to clean. Look forward to seeing pics of your piggies soon.
 
Fingers crossed shouldn't be too long. Go back to work next week (am a teacher) and would love them before then but it's wait and see. I got some hay from the range which was lovely, green and fresh.

I've bought hay from the range before and sometimes it's lovely (sounds like you got a good pick) but just wanted to warn you that sometimes you go and the hay isn't good. If that happens to you and you want an alternative then I can recommend an online company which are really quick at delivering - usually within 48 hours of placing your order it has arrived. Their hay is more expensive than the range but I have never had a bad bag (I've seen occasional posts on here from people who have but most of them seem to have had no trouble getting another good bag sent for free when they've rung up) and the price includes delivery so no hidden surprises at checkout.

Thanks, the hay was really good actually but they normally have lots to pick from. If there is a problem, I have quite a few places locally to get hay from. I've stored it in my garage so hopefully will keep fresh.

Went into pound land plus and all of their snowflake hay was mouldy. Would have said but the guy at the checkout didn't even ask for my money or tell me how much it was so I thought telling him would be a bit was a waste of time.
 
Hi there, I have the same cage as you. I have a grey upper shelf to mine. Did you take your shelf out? I love the idea of the step stool, I might give that a go. Good luck with your piggies when you get them
 
Yeah I didn't want to use their hidey. I love the easy access to the cage etc and on the stand it looks really smart too.
