Cage fresh granules

I know this may be a daft question but will it harm piggies if they eat the cage fresh granules obviously the granules are under the hay and my piggies eat the hay in their cage aswell so some they eat might have the granules attatched?

We have used cage fresh granules before for my elderly piggy as he really does smell haha (we love him though). Personally, I would put them under the newspaper/puppy pads or whatever else you line your cage with so that the guineas can't eat them. With my pig it's a thin layer of newspaper, granules, more newspaper/puppy pad (depending on what we have) and then his hay.

i have used these with puppypads,then layer of granules,next a layer of bedding,eg hemp,megazorb.I'm not sure how will affect the cavies if it is eaten!

No idea about them being eaten, but I have used them in litter trays in the past. Never made a difference in smell.
