Cage extension is here!

So excited, my C&C cage extension has just arrived! I hoped it would be here before we introduced little smelly boar Theo but it arrived 2 weeks later than planned. My lovely little herd dont suspect a thing (though you might think the big sheet of purple correx on the sofa and an unexpected thursday clean out might have given them a hint) and they are pottering around the playpen unaware that I am going to build them a 3x2 hay play room onto their cage before bedtime :)
Once its finished I will post pictures of my extended piggy palace!
 
Oh wow. Major construction. Looking forward to seeing the photos.
 
Ooo purple correx. I have just got some in white. Look forward to pics.
 
Why is it we get super excited about this kind of stuff? I get all goosebumps looking a new bigger hutches....:D

Can't wait...we love having a good nosey posey :lol!:
 
Finished! So we now have an L-shaped 5x5x2 C&C with a loft. Nobody's checked out the loft yet but I think Theo and Piggle might go up there, if not I'll take it down and add it on to the floor space.
There's the 3x2 grid fleecy bedroom wing (now with an extra fleecy house) and a 2x2 grid kitchen area with a wooden house connecting to the new 3x2 grid hay play room which is all deep floor hay with edible furniture. Each area has a waterbottle (so 3 in total) and there are small corner haytrays in the kitchen and bedroom areas. I've left a loose non-cable-tied panel on each section for cleaning access.
All the girls are loving the hay play room, last pic is Jezebel floofy pants just chookened out in the hay :)
So much popcorning and exploring!

Came down this morning to find Theo loving his man loft! He's trotting up and down the ramp quite happily.
There's also much less poop in the fleecy area now we added the hay room. Only disadvantage of the big cage... cant take a picture without my house mess appearing in the background!

Well done Theo. Ralph can often be found in our cage loft getting away from the ladies, too. That is an awesome set up your piggies have.
 
Thank you! They all seem much happier now Theo has his own little man space to make smells in, and he's really tiring himself out going up and down the ramp so the sexual harassment level has reduced considerably :)
