Cage enrichment

I’ve just managed to make there 2x4 a 2x5, what a difference one grid length makes what is must for you to put in there cage, I want to make their cage more interesting for them, I feel like it’s so boring for them, what is must in your cage to keep things interesting? i think some shopping is due

A cardboard box with entrance and exit doors, loo rolls cut down one side and stuffed with hay and veg, wooden bendy bridges, cardboard tunnels, fleece tunnels, snuggle sacks, cuddle cups, fleece forest, loads of hay for them to go charging through, eating and hiding in, hay trays, scatter feeding pellets and veg ...

Mine get excited if I just move things from their usual locations to a different part of the run! They also love boxes and fleece hideys to get inside, multiple hay locations, and preferably a clear track for circular zoomies!

Cocoa loves her cuddle sack and anything that has to do with hay Penny loves her walk-up barn so she can stand on it! Both will also chew on their willow balls from time to time

Mine have a wooden house to hide in, wooden bendy bridges, some fleece tunnels and / or pouches, piles of hay and a clear run for zoomies

Rosewood carrot cottages, and hay cubes (buy the largest size hay cube sold for rabbits so piggies can climb in and don't get stuck!) are good fun. And seagrass tunnels. Amazon has a good selection of edible piggy furniture. Also cardboard boxes full of hay, with little doors cut in. Wine boxes make nice cardboard beds. We always have a combination- a wooden house, a couple of edible/disposable hideys, and some fleecy tunnels and houses- Cavy Couture, Ziggy's Piggies, and Pampered Piggies all sell lovely fleecy things. Plus hay trays full of hay.
I usually allow 7 main furniture options and 5 hay areas for 6 piggies so they get a choice, with a 5x2 cage and a pair of pigs I reckon you could fit 4 assorted hideys and a nice big hay tray or 2 small hay trays!
