Would a few bottles of Asda distilled malt vinegar (white) be any good if we left it soaking over this weekend?

Tried to attach link for it but it just gave link for asda website not the product mallethead

yeh.... should be fine... but your house will stink when you come back... :))
x

Yup I use this too and it's great for shifting stubborn urine stains - mind you your house will smell like a fish and chip shop, but you will have sparkly cages!:(|)

Oh dont worry, i've already told OH it will need to be left outside :))

It will be left in the back garden :))

Bekki - that is really odd,

Should we put water in aswell or just neat vinegar?

For general cage cleaning I use dilute, for white pee stains I use neat. I use it for cleaning my windows too ...... ummmmmmmmmmm vinegar!

if your leaving outside I'm sure it will have added water when you come back anyways :))

i use neat for litter trays and diluted for actual cleaning :)

that is the vinegar i use to.

My mum told me vinegar was good for cleaning, i tired it, but used vinegar from the bottle in the kitchen ... that was interesting (:

"White distilled vinegar is a popular household cleanser, effective for killing most mold, bacteria, and germs, due to its level of acidity. Cleaning with white distilled vinegar is a smart way to avoid using harsh chemicals. You’ll also be glad to know that it is environmentally friendly and very economical." :-)

http://www.vinegartips.com/scripts/pageViewSec.asp?id=7 heres a website with tips for loads of different cleaning using vinegar ...

... I have loved vinegar for years ... one year my mum got me a book called 1001 uses of vinegar ... it was my best present that year (ignored the new trainers, new phone etc)
