cage bar chewing

At the moment of typing I have my 3 boys out and about for their piggy floor time, but Winston has taken it upon him self to try and chew the metal bars and the correx I keep stopping him but he starts all over again, is something wrong with him ? ?/:{
 
Yes....he's a naughty boy..lol..just joshin.

Have you tried picking him up for a cuddle for a couple of minutes? That might distract him and when you put him back, he may forget about the chewing.

Yeah just put him back down again, no more cage chewing...actually I take it back his just started again! Little toad! Just said No to him and he stopped! rolleyes

Just hoovered their cage SO MUCH POOP! mallethead
 
My Gizmo does this when he can hear me cutting their veg or if he hears bags rustling like salad bags. :) He does stop once the veg is in their cage though. I think he is trying to tell me to 'hurry up'. :))
 
Mine do it a lot - I've had to adapt their cages to stop them doing it at veggie time - 11 pigs biting bars make a lot of noise :))
 
ben does it at his breakfast & tea time oliver does it when he's bored & thinks its funny when i say no :)p
 
humm well it makes me feel better that they all do it! I was worried he was bored! He had been out and a about for an hour or so! Do worry about them getting bored
 
oliver had his clean of cage to night so put him the carrier with jake he wasn't in it 1 min before he was on the bars telling me to hurry up the cheekness of him :p
 
Chocolate chews the bars when I'm near the hutch and he wants his veg, he's always done it and he's the only one here who does it.
 
It appears that everyone else's piggys chew the bars when they are getting food/veggies Winston chews them when he is out and about on his piggy floor time lol! Maybe he wants to go back inside! :))
 
Mine don't chew the bars...I feel so left out :(

My lot just squeak at the top of their lungs when they know they are about to get fed.
