Cage arrangement

I now have Basil back as a single boar, so until I can get started doing my c&c I now have 2 cages. So I have Dillon and Harley in one cage and i've got Basil in another cage and I have put his on top of theirs. Is this ok? I assume they will all be ok if they hear each other?
 
Yeah they will be fine hearing each other. I have two single boars, they used to be in a pair but now hate each other. I have them caged next to each other, they can touch noses through the bars and talk to each other; they are fine with that arrangement. Even as a lone Guinea pig I feel that they need to at least hear the presence of other Guinea pigs. I had Jeffrey one of my lone boars, unable to touch the other boar through the cage and he was shouting loads. The other piggy Fudge was shouting back lol So they love each other when not in the same cage, but in the same cage it gets all fired up, silly boys.
 
fabby that you have basil back. I currently have Coco in a cage next to Zapp and he loves having the company so I am wondering if I should get another loan boar to have beside him when coco gets better, but then again could move him downstairs into a more busy area, mmm better soften up the OH before we approach that issue.
 
When I went to pick him up, Sarah said he'd been in his hidey all night and hadn't come out. When I got there I went up to the cage and spoke to him and he perked up when he heard my voice. He's happy now he's home and has been popcorning round the cage x)

I was thinking of putting mine next to each other so they could see each other, but cos it's a pair in the other cage thought it best not to do that. I think it would be fine if you got another lone boar and put them next to each other. If you've got room for no.8 that is :(|)
 
omg you are right it would be 8! I reckon you are right about keeping him on top and like you when I left Zapp over there and then collected him he did nothing but wheak and wheak as if he was telling me off and then all about it. Zapp was popcorning so much yesterday as he was showing off to coco that he fell off his ledge in the cage was very funny to see.

I kept saying no, 2's enough. Now i've got 3! I'm sure i'm going to get more at some point :(|)
 
am sure you will, now I am thinking wonder if Elvis is still looking for a forever home?
