Cayleah
New Born Pup
Hi all! I'm brand new here, and new to guinea pigs as well (though I have been researching for a long time). As I mentioned in my introduction post, my intention was to purchase all necessary supplies after Christmas, then look around for some girls in need of rescuing possibly in February.
As usual with life, it didn't work out that way! I heard of two girls in dire need, so I grabbed them even though I hadn't bought supplies yet. They're stuck in a store-bought cage, yuck, but I attached a play pen of sorts so they have the option to come and go for now.
Since then, I have purchased a C&C cage (2x5 - enough for two girls I hope!) as well as two sets of Fleece Flippers, Fleece Forests, fleece beds, and lots of other fleece-y goodness. The cage should be delivered tomorrow, and the rest of the supplies hopefully early next week. I have lots of other things sitting waiting to be placed in the new cage as well (wooden huts, small guinea pig safe toys, cardboard boxes, wooden chews, wooden bird toys, tunnels).
I have a hay rack in their current cage, as well as a bowl for pellets and a bowl for their veggies. And of course water bottles.
What else can I put in the new cage, once it's set up? There will be lots of space and I'd love to make it as interesting and enriching as possible.
