Morning peeps,

I have a little question for you all. We are just about to have our garage converted into a play room for the kids, but it will laos double up as a winter home for the piggies.

I have a set of C & C cubes and have a nice sheet of 8 * 4 ft correx coming so will be making a base and house out of this.

All the C & C cages ive seen have open tops, if thye are open are piggies unable to climb / escape?

Cheers

Andy

most piggies won't climp or jump fences. They seem to be happy to stay where their friends, stuff and food is. I had mine living five months in a pen on the floor with a 20 cm fence and they never ever even tried to get over it.

Start with an open cage and supervise. If it turns out you have a houdini on your hands add a lid :)

Two of my piggies can jump over them and they are not even fully grown but lots of people here on the forum use them and have not reported their piggies jumping out. My piggies may be unusual.

I might add that they were not escaping as such: the boar jumped over to get at the sow and the sow jumps into the cage when she has had enough floor time

Lols, this could be amusing as the missus still hasnt gone near them yet!

She could get a surprise if tehy are not in the pen one morning :)
