C&c Question..

I'm trying to make my animal room a bit better space-wise. It's currently a nightmare! My bunny has free run of the floor, plus a 120 cage. My 3 piggies are on a desk, in a 150 cage. It's all taking too much space.. So I was wondering if I could do a two tiered c&c cage? Bottom level would house my bunny (& ideally need flaps that open, two that can be open all the time so she still has the room) and the piggies could go on top. How sturdy are the grids? My piggies don't like extra levels, just won't use them! So I'm thinking the whole thing can be at least 5ft.. I need to measure the room properly to see what I can do, might be able to fit an L-Shape in there or something.

Does this sound like it will work?

Also.. I've decided to change to fleece as soon as I can, have people tried terry cloth underneath? I found some terry cloth incontinence pads (washable) and wondered if they'd be any good? I'm planning to make all in one liners so they'd be the middle, sandwiched between fleece. I've not bought anything just yet though! Lol.

i'd keep the piggies where they are and get rid of the rabbits cage and let him/her free range all the time. then just put litter trays down and all the other bits and pieces.

I did think about that, but I need somewhere that I can 'lock' her in when I'm cleaning her out (the bunny).

I think I've decided on what I'm going to do.. I really want to give the piggies some more space, their cage is looking so crowded now & they won't use the upper level I've given them.. So here's my plan:

5x2 C&C cage with stand.. The stand will be split into 2 storage spaces & a 3x2 C&C cage for my bunny Hopefully it should hold up well! The cage for her is only a backup in case bonding her with my male doesn't work out.

The room is a weird shape, but this should make the most of the space and give everyone the size cage they need I am so excited.. Now just gotta get saving my money so I can get it done! Will take before & after photos too.. The room atm is so cluttered! Will be nice to have some space in there!
