Hi all,

I am new to this community.. Just have a question. I made my own C&C cage. It is a 2x6 as I have three guineas (Joey, Simeon, & Ash). They have plenty of room to run and play. (See the pictures below)

On one side I had their hideys and the other side is a kitchen. The kitchen suite was brought separately from the guinea pig cage store. (Cavy Cafe, Cavy Canopy and Cavy Backsplash for your kitchen area in C&C guinea pig cage) Everything has been working out n
icely in regards to easy clean up. I am getting my rhythm down to make it faster and more convenient.

I recently just added a loft area from the guinea pig cage store.. It fits perfectly without needing any extra grids. I might add some in the future.. Now: The guineas were peeing/pooping in their kitchen just fine now since I have installed the loft on the other end they are going underneath that. Any TIPS/IDEAS on how to keep this cleaner? Like it was? I barely see them now
because all they do is stay under there (which I get) and they have yet to use the loft. :/

Or Should I just move it over the kitchen area or make the kitchen area in the loft?
(Please excuse the mess today is cage cleaning day)

Also, any tips on CHEAP durable hideys. I am thinking about switching to wood housing but How long will it take for them to chew it down
