Hi there - I'm looking to make a C&C home for my piggies. I've seen a few suppliers on eBay, but the prices still seem quite high.

Do the panels with a plastic sheet in them (as linked to in the below), rather than the ones with the mesh grid, work for piggies?

I made a small cage from them for a floor time retreat. They are a bit smaller than the grid ones, so you can't really mix and match easily. Best to use just cable ties on the base though, as it is quite bumpy with the connectors. I agree they are way cheaper, but there are some limitations. You can't join them half way along for example. They're good though.

Will you be making an enclosed cage? The only concern really would be airflow, but also I guess that you couldn't see them.

Have you looked on Wayfair? They usually have a good deal on their grids (I've bought 4 boxes over the years) and they're often on offer between £23-£30 :)

I use the solid ones for rhe back and sides of my c and c cage. They are good for keeping the hay in a BIT better than the grids.

Got my grids on ebay from grendle.
