:tu::tu:affordable c&c equipment in the uk? I would like to make a big cage for my two girls. Also how much does it cost to make one? X thank you very much❤

God advice from Sport_Billy.
I have C&C items from both of the above suppliers and found them both to be good.

It is impossible to say how much a C&C will cost, because this depends on how big you make it, and what options you choose (loft, stand, etc).
They really are wonderful cages for indoor piggies though.

I have C&C items from both the above suppliers too, both very reliable and good quality products. I have a large commercial cage and a C&C and prefer the C&C for adaptability (I've changed my size and design 3 times in a month).

I am researching this currently, the pre mad cages look great but I would like to try and put one together myself for less!

So far I have been looking at....

Perlo 38.1 cm H Shelving Unit Out of stock til July, but £30 for 27 (i think) panels

GUINEA PIG C&C WHITE CAGE SHEET PANELS x 26 | eBay 26 for £30 no connectors

Factoring in the correx is the expensive part, still researching that!

Good place for correx is here: Correx sheet, versatile usage for flooring protection.

I found this useful as want to get some grids. However, when I go to set up an account with Grendle, Firefox tells me it is an unsecure connection so i have chickened out of continuing. Anyone had any issues with security and Grendle?

Grendle aren't using SSL so is http not https so not it is not a secure connection. I wouldn't pay with card on any unsecure connection. Maybe contact them see if you can use paypal?

Thanks @sport_billy - don't do ebay or paypal though - think total dinosaur. Think piggyowner posted about Cavy Corner doing C&C cages so might be an option. Thanks for trying though:D

5 by 2 - so 14 grids?
Oh I see that now - are they a secure site with the extra 's'?

Lemmy I bought the starter kit from ebay grendleentertainment to make my cage, then to make my folding indoor run I bought the 26 grids from Also_grendle.
The cage is much more stable using the connectors and if you look at buying them separately it would cost ££. It was fine with using cable ties for the run as I wanted the flexibility and it didn't need to be as robust.(was £25 at the start of May)!
Hope this helps.

Oh, also got correx from ebay thealuminiumshop 1.2m x 2.4m £19.49. They cut it in half unless you want to pay extra for the courier.(wasn't an issue using gorilla tape)
I also bought some Antinox from Homebase as I thought I might get my boys before the correx arrived its the same size but only 2mm but only costs about £3 odd per sheet so could buy 2. its really flimsy compared to the correx and I couldn't vouch on the safety aspect especially if you aren't going to cover it completely as I would worry about it being eaten, but I read on this forum that some people have used it.

I got my 6x2 c&c from c&c guinea pig cages, it cost around £120 including the postage so quite pricey but was definitely worth it!
