Does anyone know of any affordable C&C grids/cubes? Would love to make a C&C cage for my pigs.Thanks.

I will look into that, thanks! Also, how thick do the correx sheets need to be? Thanks.

Hi , you could also try amizom , and ebay , they are pritty competative

B &Q do a google serch (c and c at b and q )
They even have there own vidio on c & c for guinea pigs .:yahoo:

i think the B&Q ones are no longer available - the video is from 2010 and when i tried to buy from there earlier this year i was told no longer available..

Well, there goes my money... My piglets are spoiled rotten! But I can't stand to see them in normal guinea pig cages, it looks so small and it's always so rainy in England so they can't go out; at least they'll be able to run around in a c&c cage when it's too wet! Thanks again everyone for your help. :) xx

Was just wondering, is it possible for guineas to escape C&C cages by climbing/jumping over the top? One of my piggies is rather good at climbing so just wondering if anyone has ever had any trouble with open top C&C...

I was worried about that when i got my first c&c cage, but no there is no way they can escape, the sides are too high for them to climb or jump over :)

Okay, thanks, that's great. Also, what fleece would be best for the pigs? I'm thinking about making my own from 100% cotton mattress toppers but it might end up being more expensive than buying ready-made cage liners.

I buy all my liners and cosie items from Stephs Piggiee Paradise
Her liners are amazing, they are great value and they wash really well. They are fleece with a uhaul absorbent center.:))

Ok thanks, that's awesome!
2 last questions, I swear... If you have ramps, where do you get them? The cheapest ones I could find are still really expensive (24.99) and I need 3...
And where do you get the correx?

I'm a bit stuck on correx to be honest, when i got my cage i got it from the website i listed above and everything was included even the ramps!
I know you can get it from here Corrugated Plastic Sheet | Correx Equivalent | Buy Online and you can most likely fashion the ramps from pieces of correx but i have never done this myself! Sorry i can't be more help with this.

Oh wow, okay! I will look into that then, thank you ever so much for the help. xx

If I put a C&C cage on the ground floor without any support (table/shelf) with correx and fleece lining on top would that be too cold for the piggies? I'm thinking it probably would be.

I suppose it would depend on how cold the room is. Mine are in my kitchen which can get quite so I just make sure i keep the heating on all the time during the winter. The cage is also on a stand which helps. :)
Picture of my cage is below. Hope it helps. :)

Wow, your cage is huge! What lucky piggies. Thanks for the pic, it will be of help. I think I have some old benches and boxes I could probably use as a stand. Could I ask what size your grids are?

Each grid is 14 inch square :) my cage above is 8x2 :)

Whoa they look very tall! My pigs should hopefully be okay in it then. Although one of my guineas has managed to jump 30 cm before... If it's not okay I'm pretty sure the grids can be stacked. Thanks so much for the pics, has helped a lot. xx

It's over 9ft. Just the grids would be 9'4" x 2'4" and I'm assuming the space between them adds up to another few inches each way too! How many lucky piggies live in there?

Yeah. It's 8 grids x 2 grids :) I have 4 in here, I've just got my 4th so I'm considering expanding it :))

What would be the cheapest but most effective cage liner for absorbing? Everything is so expensive.

Fleece at Primark is between £2.80 - £3.50 (plain/prints) for 150 x 125 cm size. There are also picnic blankets with a waterproof underside from Poundstretcher which are currently on sale for £2.99 end of season. We use free newspapers for the hayloft which get changed twice a day.
