I got these from Amazon

20 black grids and connectors for £34.99.

I have just received these this week, free delivery on supersaver. They are white and come with connectors and cable ties.

Can you only buy these online?

I tried to get some grids today, with no success.:(

I tried Homebase, B&Q, Staples and Ikea. Nothing even remotely similar.

I am annoyed about the prospect of having to buy online, pay postage and wait in for a delivery.

Do any shops in Britain stock them?

If you can get to a JTF Warehouse they were stocking wire mesh cubes, 13 in a pack for less than £10 :

They are called "Homemaker Lifestyle mesh storage cubes"

:)

Thanks everyone so now I've got the grids sorted I just need Corex, is there any people would recommend and where from?

You can get them on Find My Supplies for £28.39 but just add something cheap like a pen as when you spend £30 + you get free delivery.

Source of Cucumber,

I tried everywhere for the grids and got mine from Grendle Enterprises on Ebay. I think they were really good price for £35.00 plus postage, and no need to go from pillar to post to find it.. Ordered last Monday 1.00 pm they came next day. Was really chuffed with them. The correx is usually available at screenprinters rather than signmakers. I am getting an offcut from a local screenprinters., as they use it for for sale boards. Hope that helps.

I'm going to get these- [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B004SXSER6/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1344868777&sr=8-1"]Pet Cage / Run Play Pen:Amazon:Pet Supplies[/ame]
I just need to decide where to get my Corex from!?x

How are you all getting on the the correx? I just went to order from the website I was given but thought I would check with you all first?

Amysmum did you order from that website we were given?

I need to make mine ASAP, Rodney needs a buddy! x

Ooh - this little piggy - how many of those correx sheets you have suggested do we buy? That's mega cheap! Like say for a 5x2 cage? And is the 2mm ok?! Not too thin?

I'd get twice as much as you need and double it up so it is 4mm in thickness. I went for that one because I had a look around locally and wasn't finding anywhere that sold it cheap enough.

I'm quite local to you Pamelakt so if you do manage to find somewhere local that sells it cheaply let me know :)

I used the teacrate correx too :) for me one sheet of 2mm does me perfectly fine. If the cage wont be on a solid flat surface like floor or table it might be better to double up though, for better strength

Na it'll be on the floor. I've not found any local do might just buy 2 lots of that?

Do you put it in the shower to clean it? I feel like it can't clean properly if you just spray & wipe like they do on YouTube!?

I'm still in planning stages :)

We are putting our c&c waist level because of my back so we are buying two while bookcases (cheap ones from Ikea or Argos) and these will be put either end of the cage.

I wanted to ask-instead of using MDF under it would another sheet of correx under the correx for the cage be strong enough? I don't know how strong correx is as I've never seen/felt it!

If you have enough grids I would recommend making a base from them & attaching everything with cable ties as it makes the cage really sturdy :)

Me too I need to get a move on now I'm back from hols as I have a lonely boy.

From what I've seen on YouTube ppl don't have anything else under it after being hitched up by bookcases but I could be wrong... I guess you could put an extra sheet of it underneath?

I won't have enough grids to do that-I want to make the cage as big as possible so it would be expensive to buy more grids.

Then I would put an extra sheet of the correx on there or maybe just a bit of wood to keep it sturdy if you're worried?

I just ordered 2 lots of the teatreecrate correx - I hope that will be enough for a 5X2 cage? I think so?! I'm hoping I can basically double it to be 4mm. Do you think that'll be enough?

Argh just noticed there is a 10% discount for members of this forum! Have emailed them to ask if that can be adjusted.....

I found the black 2mm correx in my local Travis Perkins. It's not on their website, but if you call your local store, they probably have it in stock.
