I know this is probably a stupid question, but I'm going to ask it anyway seeing as I've never even seen C&C cubes in the flesh. If I put my guinea-pigs in a secure shed, could I then build them a house using C&C cubes, or would said cage not be secure/warm enough for outdoor use (I'm thinking of Winter as well as Summer)?

It depends. If the shed is temperature controlled (e.g. heater of some kind in winter, and insulated well with no draughts) and the shed can be VERY securely locked, then yes, it can work. I've visited someone who had C&C cages in their outdoor shed and it worked very well.

Security is perhaps a bigger a concern as the shed must be secured and built well enough that nothing (wild animals, dogs etc.) can break in.

would you be making it so that they had free run of the place?
maybe you could have a hutch at one end, with the C&C around it, coming out in front of it so that they can decide where they want to go.

the C&C on its own could be a bit draughty, depends on the quality of the shed. If you had it on its own, you'd need lots of hideys and lots of hay for them to snuggle in if it gets a bit chilly
