Hi, it seems everyone is talking about these C&C cages I am soon getting two guinea pigs and am useing a hutch but for the future can someone please explain what these cages are and do they have any other purposes/features that make them so popular!? Also are they available in the Uk! Thanks any answers would be great^)

C&C cages are large cages home made by piggie owners with a correx base (the plastic stuff they use in house 'for sale' signs) and the sides are made from 'cubes' which are storage cubes. You can make them whatever size you wish and personilise them in lots of ways and make them as large as you like (great for large groups of piggies). All the bits are available in the UK and you simply make them whatever size and shape you want. They look like this.... this is my herds cage.

Cubes and Coroplast. You can purchase the grids from Ebay of Amazon, just search for C&C and there's an item called Play Pen that has grids and connectors. If you search for correx on Ebay, that's the UK equivalent to coroplast

Thank you both so much!:) I will definetly consider one for the future and Abi Nurse your C&C is fab you must have some very happy piggies!

If you have the space I would go for C&C. I have an indoor cage and separate run atm but only because theres a storage unit in the way of where I want the C&C. I'm hoping to rearrange my flat in the coming year so that my boys get C&C for when they're fully grown

A lot of us find that we prefer our c and c cages because they are flexible, (you can design them to fit the space you have), more spacious for the pigs and easier to clean for the humans ;) Plus it's hugely satisfying when you have made your first one! Check out the sticky threads above, you'll find out everything you need to know...
