Hi guys.
I know there is already a post on here about this but I can't seem to get a clear idea!
People say a C&C cage is cheaper than buying a regular indoor cage, but I can't seem to find a cheap C&C cage! By time you buy the grids to make a decent size cage (I have 7 piggies) and buy the base, it is expensive?
Where is the best place to buy the bits?
Thanks :)

I bought mine from http://www.candcguineapigcages.co.uk/ and it was the cheapest I've found for C&C cages :) I agree, they aren't cheap initially but you always have the chance to up/down size cheaply, whereas with a commerical cage you'd have to buy a whole new unit, it's cheaper in the long run, in my opinion anyway :)

I got the grids from Costco £20 for 30 I think, and paid £13 a sheet at a local wood supplier.

I use plastic coated grids from eBay, vonhaus interlocking storage unit.23 grids for 17 and 30 something for 22 quid.Free delivery

Hello *waves*
What size c+c are you looking to build?
I have seen the cubes marketed as Neat Ideas Cubes.
I did find cheap correx suppliers on ebay, the grids/cubes seem to be the expensive bit.......

I got 30 grids for 30 quid in white, very pretty I heart the white ones. 30 grids is loooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaads :D

Thanks guys. What are the grids called on Costco?
I was in costco yesterday just to look for these! At the minute they're just £15 + vat so we'll be getting some. They're sold as storage for shoes :)

Thanks thank thanks guys :D you've all been so helpful! Are they normally plastic or metal? Or which are best to get?

Hi goth mummy *waves back*! Well I was looking to build a fair sized one but I would like a loft too, maybe for next winter now so I can put all 7 in together when they come back in :) x

These seem to be the cheapest available at present. I've counted how many grids & connectors in each kit. These are white. These aren't the wire metal grid but the same size with plastic panels on a metal square.

Thank you so much stewybus!! That is extremely helpful! Is plastic just as good as metal to use?

mine are plastic but i use cable ties not connectors. I havent had any problems with them but did have to put holes in to put water bottles through. I was really pleased when i got my babies as i have two metal grids on the corners and had to block them as my baby got through them. I like the fact that it keeps out the drafts as i dont use correx

Thanks madguinealady :)
How do you build the sides up on the correx sheets?
Thanks guys for all the help! X

I dont use correx as mine on fleece. Have ground sheet then incontinence pads then main fleece. Have litter trays with newspaper then shavings (soon to be changed for something else) then hay. Extra towels and smaller bits of fleece where they pee sometimes. Soiled incontinence pads get changed once a week when i change main fleece but ones that havent been touched i just leave. If you put hay racks above the trays as well as the water bottles they pea while they eat. I dont use hay racks just put it in litter trays as they werent using hay racks. If you use corres you just get a large sheet and score it where you need to bend it to sort of make a box. The smaller bits of fleece and towels get changed every day usually.I use a bag to wahs the fleece in
