C&C cages?

I see a lot of people have these cages. My piggies are outdoor piggies but one is currently ill and has been for about a month now, the other piggie is stuck in the garage in a big hutch alone. I was thinking of making a c&c cage and have them both indoors still separted by mesh but could still interact and not be so lonely. ATM my indoor piggie is in a run I basically made out of sticking furniture round an area of my room and it looks pretty terrible but gives him space.
My question is how do you guys make your c&c cages and where do you get the materials from? I've seen in some places the cubes sold but then what bottom do you use?
 
I bought a set from candcguineapigcages.co.uk and found the price reasonable and so much easier than the headache of sourcing it all myself - would recommend :)
 
I got plastic coated rather than grids from ebay and don't use correx.Use ground sheet,incontinence pads and fleece.They are just about litter trained.Think you can get grids from amazon cheaper than cage and is a doddle to do.Can get corrogated plastic from b&q or sign shops.If you wanted something you could use outside again you could always get a run and correx that. A lot of people bring them in and they don't go back outside full time.Hope your piggie gets well soon
 
Some do but some you have to buy seperate I personally think cheaper to do it yourself
 
I've just bought my first c and c cages, I used the amazon link to buy 26 grids from 'Grendle' for £57 then I rang a company called Mascot signs who I have seen putting up for sale boards and to let boards around my estate. I asked if they sold unbranded correx to individuals and they do! So I bought two 8ft by 4ft plain white sheets for the cage bases for £28. I borrowed my friend and her Citroen Berlingo yesterday and we picked them up. So now I have to put it together but tbh I checked the prices online for the ready made cage sets and buying one 5x2 would have cost £85. Doing it he way I did means I have a 5x2 cage and a 4x 2 cage for the same cost! It seems a faff on but honestly the only tiresome bit was ringing the sign makers and collecting the correx. So I would ring a local estate agents and ask who supplies the for sale boards in your area the ring them. There is a great link on here to what size you need and where to score it etc. it really isn't that hard to do. So now I have bought some waterproof material and two cheap fleeces from ikea and bingo :-)
