This my current setup, two cages side by side

This is mine. I have limited space so it is built under my existing cage:

It has a tarpulin as a base and then vetbed on top

"WOW" Jools thats what you call a c&c cage - how do you keep them lovely

and tidy thats a show home for piggies!!

Thank you! Handheld hoover does the trick ;) I use vetbed too which is easy as you just shake it off and stick it in washing machine :)

my guineas hate vet bed, it is the scariest thing ever!:)):))

Jools - I am jealous! Wish I had enough space for that! Ok, so I am only one grid short (it is 8x4?) but yours looks so much simpler. Wonderful.

Here's mine:

2 pigs in each 2x4, and 6 in the 3x4. Extending the 3x4 to a 3x5 soon though!

tab - they do get used to it. It's all very odd to a piggie whose never been in a huge open cage with towels for bedding. Given a couple of days to get the feel of things, they'll love it!

CCC4 your set up is so organised and tidy are you someone else that has a

hand vac to keep things clean:(|):(|)

how do you keep them so nice?

Not just a handvac - a 1400 watt hoover! I got a cheap vacuum cleaner from Tesco, so I can do the floor as well each day. I got fed up trudging the main hoover up and down the stairs each morning. Plus with so many poops, you need a bigger hoover than a handvac... :))

I must take a pic just before the big cleanout sometime. It is far from clean! Not so much with poops but general piggie mess - hair, hay, the odd poop, spilt food. It must sound like they live in squalor from my description! :))

The pics I take are always after I've just mucked them out. I do have to say they look much cleaner on lighter fleece. The dark fleece shows up more general mess, while the light jigsaw pattern and the yellow ochre fleece they also have look far cleaner, even on cleanout day. Seems when everything is bright, it appears clean too! The poops do show up more on light fleece, of course, but with daily vacuuming (with the hose) it doesn't get bad at all.

Sorry if I warbled on a bit there... rolleyes
