I'm looking to move my piggies into a larger cage once our extension is completed - they're currently in a ferplast casita 120 but it's just not big enough considering once we have our extension they'll be a lot more room avaliable for them.

I can only fit in a 4 x 2, but wondering whether it's best to go for a 1 x 2 loft or 2 x 2 loft? If I get a 2 x 2 loft are the ramps too steep for the guineas to use or will they adjust? If anyone has a photo of a 4x2 with either a 1x2 or 2x2 in action that'd be helpful :-)

Trying to decide sooner rather than later as going to have to adjust all my fleece blankets to fit the bigger cage!

Thanks

We have a 4x2 with a 1x2 loft for our two sows. They love the loft. We have a hay tray up there and a blanket draped over the top so they feel nice and secure.
I agree with @PiggyOwner that it would be hard catching them and also cleaning under a 2x2.

Thanks both, I think I'll go for the 1 x 2 then as your cage looks absolutely lovely! There is sooo much more room than the current cage they're in - I have two of those p@h igloos and I can only fit in those two and not much else so lovely to see how much you can get in there

Did you buy the cage from C & C cages or make it up yourself?

We got ours from C and C cages. I am usually rubbish at anything practical but i proudly put it together all by myself, it's that easy!

ive got two hammockyhammock liners and they are very good.as quilted stops fleece bunching up.i put together a 2x2 loft 10 days ago and i use fitch and hay, piggies go racing up and down ramp.It was difficult to put together,as I'm only 5 feet tall, but it is well worth the effort.mine is on the top cage of a 6x2 stacking cage.hope you get it built ,my loft was from c and c cages.:)
