Hi!

I currently have a 2x5 with a kitchen making two of the length 3x5 for my three girlies!

However we've recently picked up two more little piggies and they're in our old commercial 120 cage until quarantine is finished. We plan on making them their own C&C cage once we move, but we don't have enough wire cubes and need to keep money aside for any vet bills (general health) so we've been looking at a slightly cheaper option that will give them more space until we can do it properly!

Would these be okay as the outside grid? I've seen people using them but the reason I ask is I know ventilation is a major thing and wire cubes are really great to provide the ventilation. However we don't plan to use a lid on this cage, so they'll have the open top, will that be enough or is it still too risky to use these?

I think there are a number of people that use those without a hassle.
If you're particularly worried about ventilation though maybe use half those and half wire grids. So replace some of the wire grids in your existing cage with these, and use the grids you removed in the new cage combined with these. So you basically have two wire walls and two solid walls.

Ooh, I never thought about that! That's a very good idea, thank you! I think I'll have a go at doing that and seeing how it works out :D

Here is mine where I used the panels on the base and for the side and back wall. The girls love it :)
