Hi, I’m a new pig owner, we currently have 3 baby girls and will be picking up a 4th in 5 weeks time so need a bigger space for them, I love the idea of the c&c cages but one, we don’t have a huge amount of space and two we have a cat and dog and I’d worry about them getting to them. Does any one else have a c&c cage with other pets around and a lid on them? Thanks :)

You can make lids out of c and c grids, i dont have a c and c but i know people have done it. A cat will probably reach through a grid though to get to a pig. I think a dog would be ok.

For space saving. You can make c n c cages to an L shape to go into a corner. Or if you can make it atleast 140cm x 60cm you can make an upstairs level ( we call it a loft) that covers about 1/4 of the cage. Allowing more room for roaming on ground level, whilst using the loft for a hay grazing area. But you will need to make a ramp and cover it with a grippy material. Vetbed is a good choice. You can buy it from pets at home

Thank you 😊 Is there any other cages you could suggest that are big enough for 4 but a cat couldn’t get in to? Obviously the cat is never in the room alone with them anyway. I was trying to find something and it seems the only thing big enough is a c&c?

I think only a c and c. There is a 180cm cage on the net. Its called little critters or something. But it is very expensive. Thats all i know of. Or you could put two 120's together and mod it to your needs

I have 4 pigs and a cat, the pigs live in a 2x8 C&C with a lid that I made out of grids. Tilly (my cat) knows she shouldn’t go near the pigs so she stays well clear. I think she’s a bit frightened of them as well :))

If we’re ever out the house we shut the door so Tilly can’t get in there, just in case. We’ve had this set up for almost 4 years and no incidents, as long as it’s sturdy and the cage is off the ground I’m sure it will be fine! I have ikea tables that the C&C is on so it’s well out of Tilly’s reach :)

These photos aren’t very good but this is what I have atm.
