I have just made my c&c cage 4x2 with a 2x1 loft, the piggies arrive on Saturday and the only thing we are missing is the ramp. On the c&c cages website it looks like they just use correx, how would that work? Is it supported under it in any way? Or is it several layers? Also i read people use carpet but what if they did a pee on it? It would be hard to clean.
I've also seen wooden ramps which is possible but more work for my husband.
Any ideas would be much appreciated thanks

You can bend a grid/grids into a letterU shape and attach with cable ties to the upper level. That's how I did mine, which I then lined with correx to form a solid base followed by a strip of vetbed to add grip. The vetbed is just cable-tied to the ramp top and bottom so that you can take it off to wash. In all honesty, mine have never wee'd on their ramp.

Ok. Not a problem. If you have correx that's 4-6mm thick, it will be strong enough to form a ramp - but it must be scored and folded into a ramp with sides as the sides will give it strength. Then just make some holes in it to cable tie it to the top level and you can either glue old strips of towel or vetbed to it for grip. Use the glue sparingly then you can just rip the fabric off if it gets dirty and glue a new piece on.

like I said, mine have NEVER wee'd on the ramp so I just brush it down. But I have only cable tied the vetbed on so I can remove it for washing if necessary.

you can use guttering . you can drill holes in the guttering and secure it to the c&c with cable ties. carpet is good for grip - but accept it may need to be changedone quite frequently if it gets wee'd on.

I wondered about guttering, I might look into that if the correx doesn't feel sturdy enough.
Just off to pick the Guinea pigs up now! I have very excited children!
