I’m adding a second level to my c&c cage and am unsure of the best way to attach a ramp?

I made mine out of square guttering and my husband glued a small block of wood to the top and screwed in two hooks, which I hook to the loft floor.

I used plastic guttering as well. Cable tied it to the top level and stuck carpet tiles on for grip. Just make sure it’s not too steep. I can’t remember the guidance but it may be in the thread linked above.

I bought my lofts from an online provider (candcguineapigcages.co.uk) and they came with support bars, ramps and cable ties already provided so that's an option if you are unsure of how best to do it. I have a 2x2 loft at one end of my C&C and a 2x1 loft at the other. I have found that positioning the lofts slightly lower within the cage and keeping the ramps as shallow as possible works best to encourage the pigs to go up them.

Yes, I use cut up carpet tiles too, for grip. They zoom up and down no problem! I use hooks on mine as cable ties were too fiddly and I like to take the ramp off when it’s big clean time.

I cable tied it so I could lift it up when cleaning the lower level.
