I've had a 2x4 c&c cage for a few months now and been really happy with it. I got one that came with a lid as my abby Crunchie is a little monkey I wouldn't trust not to jump out ! A couple of times when I've lifted the entire cage structure off to clean it's completely collapsed, only held in place by the cable ties. Tonight the same thing happened again, but this time we could not get the lid to fit back in! It's got slightly bent out of shape so now can't safely be attached. My dad tried tying it all over with string but I'm too worried about it sagging and falling on my girls. So now I have an open C&C cage with a very mischievous piggy in! I don't think she will jump out... but any advice on how to make a lid that doesn't involve C&C grid's would be much appreciated! Until then I'm just going to have to hope Crunchie doesn't fancy an explore...

Would you mind taking a picture?

I don't think she could jump out unless she's determined, but suppose you could get a light, thin sheet (like a bed sheet) until you can replace it?

This is my cage as it is for now. My dad has suggested a large piece of card (in the background) over the bit where the wooden bridge is as that's the highest point when she climbs on there. Or use spare towels and fleece and clothes peg them in place?

Also don't panic about the plug socket in the background.. it looks like it's touching the cage but it isn't ! Another thing I'm paranoid about :yikes:

I have a very inquisitive piggy who loves to jump but she's that content inside the cage she hasn't tried to jump out yet! X

Thanks guys! Just asked mum to dig me out an old sheet which I think will do the job! Left a little space for some air and so I can see them... I think they quite like their little hidey cage! Thank you :clap:20170417_221123.webp
