C&C cage has come..

..Infact, it came 2 days ago...

Here is the problem.
My grandma said, before I bought it that I could use fleece instead of shavings, and put the fleece through the washer. Now she has decided she never said that...after 2 fleeces and the c&c cage came...I now had no correx, cuz I wasn't gonna bother with it whilst I am using fleece. So now they are still in their old cage. I have come up with a plan though :). I am gonna put the pigs on fleece tonight and tomorrow and then wash it sunday, hand wash it..and then dry it and see if that works. Don't see why not.. :) if that works my pigs are on fleece :) though I will need buy a new one, these aren't as big I thought :( so its gonna be one per floor of the cage, when its built..and I only have 2..haha.

But yes, shall buy another when I know if it is gonna work.

Does anyone else handwash fleeces?

You can also use a cheaper alternative and use an old pillow case i put vetbed in there :))

I've washed vetbed by hand before and would not recommend it unless you want muscles like popeye! :))
 
I also use horse bags for my larger fleece and pillow cases for cage accessories ( beds etc ) my mum wasn't too happy about it either but I found pegging the fleece on the washing line for a couple of hours before washing helped remove hay and hair after shaking it :)
