Good afternoon fellow piggy lovers!

I could really use a little advice if anybody has a moment to spare, please.

My ladies are currently kept in a store bought cage which is left open approximately 18 hours a day so that they may free roam my apartment. However, they don't like using their provided bridge and I hate imagining what injuries may be caused by them constantly lugging themselves over the plastic cage barrier.

I'm finally in a position where I'd like to make the transition from normal piggy cage to a home-made C&C cage. I've bought all the necessary equipment to suggested standards and I'm currently preparing my fleece for wicking purposes.

My correx arrived today; holy moly, I've definitely ordered too much and I'd very much appreciate it if somebody could offer suggestions towards measuring the correx to fit within the C&C bars or outside of the C&C bars. I've seen many cages using both aspects and I'd really like to know if there are any advantages or disadvantages to whether the bars are placed inside or outside of the correx base. (A large section of it will be permanently removed so that my ladies may still free roam without having to lift themselves over any obstacles. How else will my Bumble-pig trot into my bedroom for Saturday morning farty-piggy cuddles?)

Thank you in advance.

i would suggest putting the corex on the inside of the grids as (in my experience) its much easier to clean out as peices of bedding/ poop dont get stuck under/in the bars and the wee doesn't effect the metal
you can score (lightly cut not all the way through) the corex so it folds at the corners and remember - cut once measure twice ! its much easier to make it smaller not bigger!
