C&c Build Your Own Alternative?

Has anybody any experience of using something like this below to build a c&c style cage? I came across when searcing for grid squares;

VonHaus White interlocking plastic storage cubes

I can see a downside with not being able to cable tie them together, but any other cons?

I've seen quite a few people use these. Very similar but a lot cheaper!

You've already mentioned one downside - the fact that they can't be cable tied together.

Also, the opaque grids will mean you can't look in through the sides.

With the traditional C&C grids, you can look through them (above the height of the correx!).

They can be cable tied, they have gaps at the corners.I use them for mine and love them.Make sure the grids are square as they do different sizes.I prefer them to metal grids as easier to wash down.Babies can't get through them eaither.There is a pic of my runs on the c&c cage thread I think
