C&C Base Help

I'm hoping to start building a c&c cage this week for my girls - I've got all the bits apart from correx, I just need to sort out the spare room for them.

What I want to know is - do you use grids for the base, and then put correx on top of it or just use the correx on it's own to form the base?

If its just sitting on the floor there wouldn't be any need for a grid base.

I think everyone does it differently! If you are gonna have it on the floor or on a table that's bigger than the cage I don't see why it should be needed (saves money ). If you are gonna build a base from grids you would obviously need a grid floor too, same if the table you're putting it on is smaller than the cage

It's just going on the floor to begin with then I'm hoping that someone/or me will make a platform on castor wheels to put it on so I can move it about to make it easy to clean round about it.
