I'll be looking for grids next week, as b&q let me down rolleyes

Anyway I was thinking, as I now have a pair of boars and a single boar, how am I going to build it? Can they be next to each other or will I have to build it so I have 2 sections one on top of the other?

Oooo, I love C&C.

First up there are grids on ebay just now.

Ending on Sunday, one pack will make you a 2x4 and a 1x3 for your single. I would house side by side but it does depends on the pair if it would upset them or not.

Some C&C idea I house more than 2 pigs, so will have to use your imagination as to how it will work for you.

I do not use grids as a floor.

The bottom floor I used to house 2 single pigs.

Thanks for that, i'll keep an eye on those and try and bid :))

I wanted to have them side by side but what I might do is maybe put their cages next to each other and see how they react so i'll know then before I build it. Oh it's exciting :<>

The b&q's in my area don't have them in stock so you have to order them. They apparently have no record of my order so I told them to shove it and i'd find them somewhere else :(|)

B&Q are out of stock.

I would do side by side. In which case you will only need one pack provided you do what I do and just have a Correx floor. If they react badly to side by side. You can use correx to cover the side so they can't see each other.

Guinea Pigs tend not to bother if they can't see each other. When Patrick fell into Fred's cage after the initial scrap Patrick ran off and hid in the Hay Tray Fred pretended he wasn't there and Thankfully I came in and rescued Patrick. Good job Patrick fled rather than fight.

Even if I have them in the runs as long as I cover it so they can't see each other they don't bother :). That's the worse case scenario.

I'm building a C&C cage! Got my Grids out of B&Q today. But i noticed that Correx/Correthem(excuse the spelling) is only sold is massive sheets! Is there anything similar to it that would do the job!?

Was looking on the internet earlier and I read something about using lino, but not sure that would work or not.

Contact a Sign company with the size you want - they should be able to help.

I have bought from here, One sheet will make a 4x2 cage. 'Guinea' use this code at check out for a further 10% off.

I have used Lino before to, worked a charm. I got an off cut for £10 out a carpet shop :).

You would be suprised how much you will need, I don't know how big your project is going to be but you may need spare in the future. I am planning on giving these a try, not used them yet but they seem quite reasonably priced and they will deliver. https://www.sitebox.ltd.uk/product/poa230/correx-protection-board-8-x-4-24m-x-12m-per-sheet/

Could someone advise me how big a c&c should be for housing 3. Would 4x3 be ok or would it have to be bigger?

Check out this great site for preferred cage sizes. http://www.guineapigcages.com/

4grids by 3grids would be fine for 3 piggies :)

Edit* If it's for 3 BOARS make it as big as possible - 2 boars like their own space, 3 boars like even more and often they dont work out.
