hi, I haven’t been on this forum for a little while but i was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to make my c&c cage more stable?

i bought a 4x2 double stacked cage for my four boys from kavee cage. the cage is put together and zip tied all over but it still feels a little flimsy? i have messaged customer service for advice but i was hoping someone here had input too.

there is coroplast on both levels, all zip tied of course. my dad suggested garden canes for the corners and tie them up for more stability?

the boys are in it, and negan (my over excited escape artist) & daryl (my ginger bread loaf) are on the top half. they are my older boys and i can see the entire thing wobble when they are moving about. i am petrified of it falling down, i don’t know what to do.

thank you in advance,
cee. 🙂

i should mention that i also have the fleece liners from kavee cage and another fleece blanket on top covering the entirety of the levels 😊

Did it come with the round connectors? These make the grids more stable than with just zip ties. My two stacked 2x4 cages are held with just connectors and are very sturdy.

yeah, it came with round connectors. the cage is built correctly and properly secured, it’s just a little worrying for me that it wobbles, especially when the boys on top are popcorning or jumping about

Yes, I have one particularly bouncy boar and the cage does wobble a bit once he gets going, but not enough to fall over or anything. It’s better if you can put them against a wall as it help with stabilisation. Mine are free standing in the middle of the room at the moment due to building works, but still stable.

I gently tapped the round connectors ( the flat side) on my c&c with a small hammer. I struggled to get them to solidly fit. This made it sturdy. The canes sound a good idea
