How exactly do people suggest I add a second level to a C & C cage?

I'm thinking, at the moment, to bend the correx round at the rear to create floor for 2nd level.. is this how other people do it?

Any help is much appreciated :)

ok so i cannot play dumb any longer

what is C&C?

i think i am missing something

C & C are cages made out of cubes/grids and corflute/correx there are different names depending on the country your in,
i personally prefer piggies to have lots of floor space to run on rather than ramps so all of mine are single story, sorry i cant help more
for indoor piggies they really are the best housing option, they are much cheaper, you can build them in whatever layout you want, and you can change it when desired they are also rather easy to clean and are alot roomier than most petshop cages
these are my two C&C cages to give you an idea bullseye

C&C is Cubes and Correx its a cheap and easy way to make guinea pig cages go to http://www.guineapigcages.com/buycc.htm for an exampl or read the C&C threads :P

For my upper hay loft I'm planning on making a Correx tray and put it on top of a ledge made from the grids. Will help keepthe mes on one level and stop the pigs jumping off the top, also will be able to hold more weight with the grids underneith. hope this helps.

thats really helpful - thanks

i was looking at something like that to make a big run in the garden as i have the space and i dont want to let my babies run free just yet

when we moved into this house i wanted to convert one of the small rooms into a ball pit but GP house you can walk into might be cool

hmmmmmmmm

it is i sit in there and play with them and they love it,if yo d use one outside for run use i would recommend putting a top on it to help prevent predators like birds and cats x

If you use the connectors side ways they help make a second level, had to explain but get some grids and connectors and attach the connectors sideways and you'll see what I mean :))

yep I used grids to make mine! Mine has to be lower than a grid height so I have just used a ton of cable ties on mine and also made a ramp from a cube bent in half. I'll post a pic in a second
