When i move into my new house the piggies are coming inside...
Now what i would like to know is how many of those c and c type cage things would i need to make a cage for 5 piggies?
Where can i buy them?
What goes on the floor? Does this stop wee getting on the floor/carpet?

Any help gratefully recieved!

alot of people use correx on the floor, which stops wee getting on the floor as its plastic of some sort. i have two piggies in a 4x4 cage with plenty of room for another. if you look at http://www.guineapigcages.com/howto.htm it will tell you everything you need to know and the required spaces

You would need quite a large area for 5 piggies. A two story cage would be a good idea as it will take up less floor space I have a divided c & c on the ground floor, a total of 22 grids and upstairs is a total of 14 grids. You could get away with a bit less as all yours live together. I have lino on the carpet, then correx and in the upstairs cage, I have a 9mm sheet of mdf going across the cages on the bottom, then correx sitting on that. You could then use a ramp from the top floor to the bottom floor.

This is mine

Yours could be a bit smaller :)

Woah that is fantastic! I am so overwhelmed, i do not even know where to begin making a c and c cage.
Hmmp, i will worry about it nnearer the time i suppose (and rope the boyfriend into helping tee hee hee) x

Oooh thanks. Now i need to go and find some Correx on Ebay.
Can you just buy really big sheets?

I got mine at Travis Perkins, they have stores all over the country. They only do it in black though and they call it cordek. The sheets are huge, I used 2 sheets for my 3 cages. They cost £5 a sheet. Find your nearest store and phone them first though as only the larger ones seem to stock it :)
