Well as you probably know I have been dabbling with the idea of a C & C for a while, whilst my joined ferplast setup is cheap and it serves it's purpose it would be even better to given them a flat floor to zoom around on rather than having to jump over the sides.

Today whilst shopping, I found a pack of storage cubes in home bargains for £9.99, there are 16 which are plastic covered and 30cm x 30cm (slightly smaller than the standard C & C grids), but at that price I thought they would be able to serve some sort of purpose.
Unfortunately given the space I have I can't just do a long 6x2, so again have to improvise with L shapes in order to fit in my room, which also means I will have to buy some more (H+B don't have anymore in stock, so I think it will have to be the regular grids), which will also allow me to see the pigs better.
These are the grids I got.

This is my very rough design, obviously given how the grids interlock this may be slightly larger than I can fit so I may have to overlap some bits. The green bits are the grids I have now and the red are the normal sized grids I will have to buy.

At the moment I am looking for a minimum of 20 normal sized grids if I want to have a loft included, but I could potentially improvise the sides to a loft with the plastic grids.
I just don't know where to start, I have been looking at the various places that sell grids online and just can't make my mind up. So any advice would be very much appreciated.
This should be big enough for 4 pigs shouldn't it? The main part is the same size as a 6X2ft hutch with an additional 4sqft added on, hopefully a loft will give a bit more floor space if I use it as a kitchen/ hay room.
