Okay so all my piggie cages are lined with fleece, which I love and clearly so do the pigs. The trio are generally fine with burrowing through the day but as soon as I put my light out at night they dive straight under the fleece, so. Is it fear? Or just comfort? Anyone have and experience with burrowing?

there quite sensitive to light because they cant see very well so a sudden change could scare them, they will probably get used to it and wont burrow any more sometimes min do that when I'm holding them if someone walks past and they cast a shadow they hide under my jacket.

My 4 girls were a nightmare with burrowing and I tried everything to stop them. I bulldog clipped it and put two litter trays on top of the open bit-because the fleece wasn't big enough. I thought I had it sorted but after two weeks they somehow found the gap between the two trays and were under the fleece all day, everyday. It was a nightmare-they would squabble under there.

They now live on newspaper and hay and have snuggle sacks still and can burrow as much as they like, I think it's a natural thing for Piggys to do and some pigs want to do it more than others. Yours are young so might grow out of it but then they might just be burrowers. ;)
