The only thing I regret about fleece bedding is the constant burrowing of my one girl Hermione, Edd doesn't even bother! I find myself rearranging it atleast 4 times a day and it's driving me mad as she's getting under the towels too!

I'm finding it hard looking for a patterned fleece blanket big enough to go over the edges all the way around! : (

Buying a cage liner online costs too much, £25 and postage is too much for me sadly. I don't have a big sewing machine to cope with sewing through fleece, wadding, towel and waterproof layer. I have a tiny machine! And no giant fleece blanket!

Waaahh!

The thing is that they have plenty of hiding and burrowing places in the cage, I made them a hidey hut house thing, they have a hidden litter tray area and a snuggle sack! Yet Hermione persists on destroying the cage for me :0

Driving me mad! I also have things around the cage to stop her but she gets past them! : (

I use fleece and washable bed pads - i had a problem with the fleece being pulled up so bought some small bulldog clips off ebay - i clip each of the four corners of fleece to the bed pads and naughty piggies cannot lift it up to play underneath ;)

One of our new sows, Kofi, constantly burrows too - I'm the designated cleaner and it's infuriating isn't it?

It's just part of their natural instincts I'm afraid so smoething that we'll have to learn to live with. I'm thinking of getting a smaller fleece blanket or something else to put in her cage so she can burrow under this instead of the bedding fleece/vetbed.

Very frustrating. She's managed to stay on top of the surface since I quickly whipped together a new hidey sack which she loves. They have a lot of hiding places so I was just so confused, I'd understand if the cage was bare!

What I found that's helping too is at night I throw over a thin blanket (Leaving open spaces for air) and it settles her down.
