We have 3 bunnies Primrose is mum and her 2 daughters are Bluebell and Rosie .They have lived outside in hutches with runs in summer and we used to bring them inside in the winter .
We now have a shed 10feet square which is for them and they are in their in the hutches .There are foxes around every night so we open the doors of the shed for a hour or more when we are near in the daytime .

I dont want to rehome them but am struggling cleaning out the hutches as i have arthritis in my spine and hip .
I have the idea of putting down cushionfloor ,putting hutches on it and leaving hutch doors open so they have more space and then i can brush and mop out the floor .

They dont get on so i would need to make dividers somehow .

Would they be safe from foxes if they are able to wander round the shed day and night ,its wooden and door locks but is not a very good fit .
Please has anyone any ideas, suggestions ,pictures etc as i could do with
some help .We cant let them wander round inside as we have 2 spaniels

thanks Earthmother

I think its a great idea to give them free range in the shed. The cushion floor should help keep things clean to as you'd just need to brush up the debris and then mop the floor - hopefully not much bending involved.

Not sure how you would section off the shed. Do any of them get on at all? Could you try C+C dividers so they can still smell and see each other and hopefully one day be able to live together?

it would be much easier to clean wouldnt it .We put primrose and bluebell together in the run months ago and it was awful ,couldnt tell who went for who but they were not happy .Dividers are a good idea,as you say they can see each other and it would be great if they eventually got on .

Would they be warm enough if i put loads of hay in the hutches .
