This is Gimbly who was adopted last month. The rescue treated him for bumblefoot after he was pulled from an animal shelter. I'm concerned it may be coming back. The foot has looked a little dry when I manage to take a peek. I was able to get a couple pics but Gimbly won't stay still. His past bumblefoot encounter messed up foot from what I was told, so his toes are curly and his foot looks big.
The rescue said they did daily health checks for two weeks to make sure it was gone before he was put up for adoption. He lives on fleece that is changed every three or four days. I change the bedding in their kitchen every other day. I pick up poop 2 or more times a day. I have read (somewhere) that jumping can exacerbate bumblefoot issues- they have a kitchen like this that they like to jump into Cavy Bistro
There is a little spot in the upper right (my right) that could be something but since he won't let me look I don't know if it is bumblefoot related or just debris.
Also do you think his claws are too long? Since the fingers curl to the side I am having a harder time trimming them.
