Hello,
I have just come across an incident with my 2 girl Guinea pigs. They were arguing about who got to sit where when they were having a cuddle and one of them actually lunged at the other one. Thankfully the other one didn’t get injured. What should I do? Thanks

Hi!

Lunging is a defensive and NOT an aggressive behaviour. It is basically a very strongly worded 'Stay out of my space'. If the other side gets the message, then there is no incident.

My boys Ronnie and Stan were incessantly mounting and chasing each other with excessive Wheeking a few days ago. I was really worried I’d have to separate them thus jeopardising their bond. Several hours later and a lot less fingernails than I had they are best buddies again. Hang on in there. It’s likely they will sort themselves out. If blood is drawn then it may be best to seperate them but it’s rmost likely not to come to that. As @Wiebke suggest just monitor the situation for now
