Hello everyone

I could hear some squabbling and squeeking coming from the kitchen and went in to find dooley pulling the fur from little black pig, she had hold of a small section and was backing away from her still holding on to the fur! i shooed her away and checked over little black pig she seemed ok, but Badger had a wound on her the other day that was circular and all the fur was missing, i think i have found the cuprit in Dooley but what do i do!? i cannot keep an eye on them all the time! eeek! x

Sounds like my place! naught little baby Ruby has decided she is a big bully and beats up the other sows.she could be in season or could be a shift in dominance? hopefully they will sort it out.someone should be along soon to offer better advice

I will try to keep an eye on them as best i can... on the whole they seem to get on fine, but who knows what goes on when i go out! lol xx

I had a similar problem with my two sows. They didn't initially get along very well and one actually split open the others ones lip in a fight (and they now have several bits of ear missing!).

It took mine months to settle down, but eventually they decided one who was the top pig (which I think was the problem). Giving them more space also made a huge difference as well as lots of things to do e.g. tubes, hiding places, food toys. It might also be worth making it clear that they shouldn't fight like that and hurt eachother. I'm trying to potty train mine (so they stop peeing on the carpet) and say a firm 'no' and clap when they do it. Perhaps, when you witness it, you could try that? Best of luck!
