well am still in the planning for this as 1. we havent picked the girls up yet and 2. we havent moved house yet. but not long now, and we are all very excited about it.
i would like to build two things, an indoor run/cage for the girls, and an out door play area.
i think i will build with wood, as i like the natural look of it, i also wanted to put at least one level into the indoor palace. how high a side would i have to put on it to keep the piggies safe?
and how high would i have to build the "wall" of the outside run for them not to be able to jump over it?
these are my most pressing thoughts at the moment, after the move i will draw up some plans and then start getting the wood. and hopefully start building before xmas. thats the plan for now anyway
absolutly any info and ideas are more then welcome

14 - 18 inches is the height we had when we had C&C floorpens. Piggies aren't really jumpers but better to be safe than sorry.
Have you thought of C&C - they can be built to suit your room shape and size and can use a lot of imagination.
This is our pen that homes 12 piggies, has three 12 ft levels, just under 3ft wide and the piggies each have two storeys:

that is one cool looking set up.
i did thing about the c&c setups. but personally like wood better to look at. and i like getting my power tools out rolleyes am no expert at it, but love building things. as i can use my imagination more. will be looking into building materials and actual available floor space after we moved back to uk and we are in the new house. and since hubby aint joining us straight away i have time to get started before he is home too:(|)
