Building A New C And C Cage - Tips And Suggestions Very Welcome :)

Hi I am starting to get together all the bits and bobs needed for a c and c cage. Correx, mesh cubes slide binders and fleece... (have I missed anything?)
I just wanted to know of any tips experienced cage builders have learnt or things people had wished they had realized before starting out.
Also would love to know how people have built lids (it is needed for me as I have two cats) that can rotate like they are hinged

I have a cage with a lid because I have 2 cats as well! my solution was to make the front panels of the cage a hinge type door that opens down when I open the cage. I use zip ties as the hinge and large binder clips to secure the door to the rest of the cage when it is closed. the rest of the cage is put together with the connectors that came with the grids...this may be hard to understand lol so I can always post a pic if needed...and the coroplast I used inside the cage can slide out like a tray so it is very easy to clean with bost wood shavings and fleece
