Building a c&c cage...?

My grids for Wigner's cage came today and I have NO IDEA how to connect them with the black connectors. I feel stupid but it's annoying me so much :)>>>mallethead
 
The black clips are pushed onto the top of the grids, there should be grooves in the connectors,
 
There are grooves and I'm trying to do that but it's not working.
I knew I'd struggle with this, I'm a thinking not a doer! :red
 
he he, stand a grid up, and on the corner of the grid push one of the connectors on so that the edge of the grids fits in the groove? :)) xx
 
If they are the normal connectors they should have 8 parts that you can use to 'clip' the grids together. There will be 4 around the edge and 4 in a cross shape on the bottom.
You push the corners of the grids into these 'slots' to join them all together.
 
Here is a close up picture that I found online:

You can use the 'slots' around the edge if you want to make it more that 1 grid high or to add a base to the cage etc.

Thank you do much! I've nearly built it all now :p I just need to buy some corex for a base.

What bedding will you be using? If fleece, it will probably be easier for you to just put a shower curtain or an offcut of lino on the floor as a base? xx

I was going to Lino it all as that is what I use in my hutches. x
 
I know some people dont bother with correx and just put the grids over lino thats all, i found the correx a pain in the bum to cut and make into a base and the pig's really chewed it at first. xx
 
I use lino in mine. Use it like correx. It's just as good.

Can you tell me where you can buy the wire things from in the UK? I have tried on the internet but cannot find anything. My Husband is a sign maker so the correx is easy to get.
